Cranes will be used in the Industrial Design & Construction course to reinforce what was learned building towers and bridges. This project will also expose the students to creating a project in a team environment. The cranes will consist of a tower, jib (bridge), gearbox and pulley system. The students will be responsible for the individual component and final assembly construction and will have to decide amongst all team members how to most successfully complete the project prior to its deadline.
