CO2 cars will be used in the Industrial Design & Construction course to illustrate the application of the principles of physics. ID&C Students will design and construct a CO2 powered dragster from a supplied kit and handouts. Autocad 2 students will design it as a 3D model in Inventor. All students will compete drag race style on the schools track for lowest time. Their degree of success will depend on their understanding of friction, force, mass, acceleration and various other physics principles and the quality of their design and construction.
